Enfants Rouges

Enfants Rouges Apartment Enfants Rouges Floor Plan

At the Marché

The apartment has a view into the Marche des Enfants Rouges. Situated on one of the most sought-after streets in the fashionable “upper Marais”, this apartment offers the rare combination of exceptional location, light and layout. Immerse yourself in this rich and typically “Parisian” environment as you take advantage of the oldest covered market in Paris (the Marche des Enfants Rouge) directly across the street. Fresh produce, cheeses, flowers and bread are literally at your doorstep. One-of-a-kind galleries, clothing designers and restaurants are in abundance surrounding the renowned rue de Bretagne, and it’s only a few minutes’ walk to the Musee Pompidou, Musee de la Chasse & de la Nature, Musee Picasso, Careau du Temple, and Musee Carnavalet, the nearest major landmarks.

Located in a typically Parisian 17th century building, this apartment benefits from double exposure (East/West) offering glorious morning light and views of a green inner courtyard from the bedroom. The double windows in the living room provide sunshine in the afternoon and overlooks the charming market.

The character-filled, “industrial chic” decor highlights original architectural details such as exposed beams, “tomettes” (typical hexagonal tiled flooring), and plaster decorative elements (salvaged and restored from a dilapidated chateaux). The open-concept layout maximizes both light and functionality and includes a sliding door system to either separate or incorporate the main bedroom into the living space - as desired. Additional guests can sleep on the comfortable pull-out bed (designed for daily use) in the living room couch.

The kitchen area includes modern conveniences such as a built-in clothes washer/ dryer, microwave, induction stovetop and grill for enjoying the bounties of the market. While the unique pink marble bathroom offers a small “soaker tub”/ shower and heated towel-rack for relaxing after a day taking in the wonders of Paris.
